Varsity- Meet Coach Katie Oxspring
Coach Oxspring has 16 years of coaching Experience starting her Senior Year of High School as an assistant coach for a High School's Varsity Boy's Volleyball team. She then coached 2 years in Prescott, AZ for Yavapai Juniors 15's program while play Volleyball At Yavapai Community College. She then attended Arizona State and coached 17's Club Teams, and was a Varsity Assistant Coach & JV Head Coach for her own High School which was still one of the top 4 teams in the State during those years.
Katie Oxspring then moved to Alaska in 2015 from Glendale, Arizona. They lived two years in Anchorage, moving to Wasilla in 2017 and found home.
In 2017 she was the C-Team coach and in 2018 became the Head Coach at Wasilla High School. In her first season as head coach she coached Wasilla to its first region championship in 17 years. As well as receiving the great honor of being named coach of the year for the Northern Lights Conference.
She looks forward to what will hopefully be many years growing the sport in Alaska and being apart of Warrior Nation!
