If you are the child of an active duty, retired, or active reserve Coast Guard member you are eligible to apply. For this year's scholarship cycle, successful applicants can expect awards ranging between $2,500 to $5,000.

When we began the scholarship program in 1990, we focused on one goal — providing Coast Guard families the opportunity to send their children to college. Since that time, the cost of higher education has skyrocketed, making our original aspiration even more relevant for today’s Coast Guard families.

We're proud to report our scholarship program is impacting more families than at any time in our history. These scholars are among the best and brightest displaying not only outstanding academic achievement but also the characteristics befitting of the Coast Guard’s core values.

2025 STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Jim’s Team 4 Diabetes Foundation offers College Scholarships for up to $500 for students with Type 1 Diabetes. To be eligible, the applicant must be a senior attending high school in the USA that will graduate in the year 2025.

As well, current undergraduate students from around the country that are enrolled at a four-year accredited college, university, technical, or trade school during the 2025 calendar year, are eligible to apply for a Scholarship award to help with expenses that can be applied towards their Diabetes equipment and supplies needed for school.

The physical and emotional trials of being a student with T1D are well documented. Managing such a chronic disease has inherent challenges, but having to prioritize that within the context of a college experience can be very difficult.

Our Foundation looks forward to recognizing students that are demonstrating the ability to not only successfully manage their personal diabetes care but are achieving great results with their school studies and activities in pursuit of their career dreams.
